Jim Kissick, PE
As President and co-founder of Kissick Construction Company, Inc., Jim Kissick brings to the firm over forty years of experience and leadership in the construction industry. A registered professional engineer, Jim uses his engineering experience in the field managing projects with a hands-on approach.
Jim began his professional career first serving as a superintendent, estimator and then project manager for a regional heavy construction firm. His career also includes serving as Public Works Director for Jackson County, Missouri. In addition to managing a twenty million dollar budget and staff of over 100 people, his primary function included overall management of the county’s bridge and highway division. This included maintenance and construction, the management of the engineering division and the management of the administrative duties associated with the position.
As President of Kissick Construction, Jim manages the site development, site utility and roadwork projects for the firm. He has significant experience with design, value engineering, and installation of site utilities. He specializes in projects with difficult construction conditions and schedules.
Pete B. Browne
As vice president and co-founder of Kissick Construction Company, Pete Browne brings to the firm’s clients over 25 years of professional construction management experience. His duties include estimating, budgeting and value engineering, project management, contract administration, and field operations oversight for heavy civil work in the greater Kansas City area and across the Midwest.
Mr. Browne manages primarily structural concrete and industrial facility improvement projects for the firm. He has significant experience with multi-phase plant expansion programs, incorporating the sitework, concrete foundation and underground utilities with the architectural, mechanical, and electrical trades, along with the Owner’s production requirements of the facility, into the overall construction sequencing. He has extensive experience in a wide range of manufacturing, including a heavy concentration in automotive assembly and power generation projects. He has managed single contracts up to 120 million dollars, for clients including: General Motors Corporation, NASA Lewis Research Center, Anheuser-Busch Brewery, CertainTeed Corporation, Kansas City Power & Light, and Aquila, Inc.Return to Top
Vice President of Administration
Brenda Richmond brings to Kissick Construction over 20 years experience in the management of office related activities for construction firms. She is one of the founding employees of Kissick Construction and has been instrumental in the growth and development of the company. Prior to the start up of Kissick Construction, she worked with the founding partners while at another construction firm. Her loyalty and tenure with the partners is extremely valuable to the satisfaction of the rich client history of Kissick Construction.
Along with the administrative functions for Kissick Construction, Brenda manages the Accounting, Human Relations and Technology branches of the company. Her responsibilities include coordinating the activities of respective vendors and consultants related to the operation of the business.
Vice President of Operations
As Senior Project Manager for Kissick Construction Company, Inc., Dennis brings to the firm over forty years of experience and leadership in the construction industry. His experience includes managing a variety of heavy civil, site work and industrial projects.
Dennis brings unique experience to Kissick Construction. His background includes representing an owner and developer as Vice President of Construction. In this role he was responsible for the management of a construction team, managing several projects, administering standard operating procedures, vendor relations and cultivating city and government relationships.
Dennis’s role includes budget analysis, construction scheduling, vendor and materials management, job costing and quality control. He specializes in projects with difficult construction conditions and schedules.
