KC Streetcar Utilities Upgrades
Construction Projects in Kansas City
Utilities, Trenchless Technology
Kissick Construction was responsible for relocations and improvements of public utility facilities as part of the new Kansas City downtown streetcar system. Much of the buried infrastructure is over 100 years old and well past its useful life.
Utilizing trenchless and open cut methods, Kissick Construction worked to minimize street closures in the tight urban environment while replacing 5,626 linear feet of storm sewer lines ranging in size from 4” to 60”, 6,351 linear feet of water distribution lines, sanitary sewer lines and installing 62 stormwater catchment basins and manholes.
