About

David has served in many capacities at Kissick during his 20+ years of experience. From low-man on a crew to pipe foreman to “gopher” in the office to estimating and managing multi-million dollar projects, David has experienced a lot in his young career. David serves as an estimator on a variety of underground utility and earthwork projects. He has also led the firm’s expansion into self-performing trenchless sewer pipe rehabilitation work.

Fun Fact

He is a 5th generation Kissick in the construction business. He has 5 children with his wife Monica, and a Border Collie named Roxy.

Storm Sewers

Kissick Construction assists in the replacement, rehabilitation, and creation of storm sewer elements of any scale for when aging systems fail or experience extreme rainfall. Additionally, we install engineered solutions including pervious pavement, underground containment vaults, and green infrastructure systems.

Sanitary Sewers

Kissick Construction has expertise in the installation and repair of sanitary sewers utilizing a variety of trenchless and open-cut methods. Kissick can address municipal sanitary sewer system needs on gravity and force main sections including ongoing work separating combined sewer / storm systems and replacing undersized or failing pipe runs.

Trenchless Technology

Kissick Construction partners with LMK Technologies to complement our extensive suite of services with their industry-leading Cured-in-Place Pipe solutions. CIPP renews sewer infrastructure without open-cut excavation to repair a main or lateral line without significantly interrupting service, landscaping, or pavement.

Industrial Waste Lines

Kissick can install utility lines within industrial facilities in any size or material required. We fulfill technical requirements and operate as a guest within active operations.

Water Lines & Appurtenances

All elements of water distribution systems are within Kissick’s utility expertise, from transmission mains to service lines, including valves, pumps, and hydrants.

Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Piping Systems

Kissick Construction has experience executing changes and upgrades to complicated systems that need to stay “live” at numerous utility plants throughout our region.

Middle Blue River Neighborhood Sewer Rehabilitation Project – Area 2

This project was part of Kansas City Missouri’s ongoing repairs and updates to its aging sewer infrastructure and included 51,884 LF Cured in Place Pipe installations (CIPP), 277 CIP lateral liners, 270 open cut lateral repairs, 3,000 LF of open cut main replacement, 9,000 LF of pipe burst main replacement, and manhole rehabilitation and replacement.

CenterPoint Properties Site Development

This project involved the site development of a 160 acre site in south Kansas City. Kissick Construction was the general contractor for the project and self-performed all of the work except for asphalt paving and electrical lighting installation for what would become the CenterPoint - Kansas City Southern Intermodal Center.

Hedge Lane Transmission Main Installation

Kissick Construction installed a 25,000 LF section of 48” steel water main through the western half of the city of Olathe. The team successfully traversed dozens of public and private properties, public and private roadways, a rail line, and an existing landfill along the K-7 and Hedge Lane corridors from 127th St to 159th St.
