He has developed a strong reputation for providing innovative thinking to solve complex engineering challenges. As President of the company, he shares his personal philosophy with the team at Kissick: work hard to complete a project you are proud to own. Love what you do and take time to share your talents with your co-workers and your community.

Road & Bridge Construction Services

Demolition

Kissick performs all aspects of demolition and clearing activities in preparation new road and bridge construction projects. Services include removal of structures, pavement, and hazardous materials remediation in conformance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

 

Mass Excavation / Earthwork

Kissick Construction utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and over 25 years of experience to provide turnkey services for mass excavation of rock and earth, embankment construction, subgrade preparation and modification, and finish grading. Kissick’s quality work sets the benchmark for the entire project.

 

Drainage

Kissick Construction constructs new and rehabilitated storm sewer systems as part of its comprehensive road and bridge construction services. We have installed pipes varying in size from 4” to over 120” in diameter.

 

Deep Foundations

Kissick Construction work closely with geotechnical engineers in the final design and construction of a variety of deep foundation systems for bridges and other structures. This includes drilled shafts, driven piles, micro piles, and auger cast systems.

 

Piling and Shoring

Kissick Construction resume of structural services includes a variety of piling systems including steel and concrete driven piles, auger cast and drilled piers, and micro-piles. We also design and install shoring systems such as lagging and sheet piles for stabilizing major cuts and fills to accommodate the specific needs of a project.

 

Utilities

As one of Kissick Construction’s specialty services, we can coordinate relocation of all private and public utilities in the project vicinity. Kissick can also self-perform new and relocated water and sewer facilities, and install ducts and carrier systems for other facilities along the project corridor.

 

Structural Concrete

Kissick’s structural services includes retaining walls, bridge piers, structural slabs, and cast-in-place columns and beams. We are also experienced in the installation and construction of pre-cast structural elements.

 

Paving

Kissick constructs concrete pavement of varying widths and length for roadways ranging between local neighborhood streets to major multi-lane freeway facilities. Our services include state of the art stringless paving in addition to other conventional methods to set final slope and grade.

 

Flatwork

No project’s flatwork requirements are too small or large for Kissick. Depending on project needs, quantities, and other project-specific characteristics, sidewalks and curbs can be constructed as formed in place, or slip-formed. Driveway and parking lot paving are also included in the array of flatwork construction performed by Kissick.

MoDOT Bridge 254 – Raytown, MO

The 67th Street bridge over Route 350 was built in 1925 and needed replacement. It was one of ten bridges replaced by Kissick as part of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Hwy-150 Outer Roads Improvements – Grandview, MO

Kissick teamed with Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company in a design-build venture for the extension of the outer road systems east of Interstate I-49 and north of Missouri Route 150. The project completed key connections between Route 150 and the I-49 outer road systems, and included a new road and pre-cast girder bridge creek crossing, a lighted pedestrian tunnel and a bicycle repair station to the park and trail system along Highway 150.
